Men's soccer player Max Naranjo recently
received the Ray Roberts Award, for his on- and off-the-field
involvement in the college’s soccer program.
The Ray Roberts Award goes to a second-year
Hill College student athlete, who throughout their tenure with the
college, has consistently demonstrated a passion for the success of the
college. They also have a personal commitment to the advancement and
improvement of the college, a selfless effort to support and better
their teammates and peers, a strong work ethic in both the classroom and
athletic endeavors and a positive demeanor and excellent character.
Hill College soccer coach Paul Davenport said that Naranjo started every
game for the last two years for the Rebels, leading the team on the
greatest run in the program’s history.
Davenport said, “Max performed consistently all year, serving the
program selflessly regardless of the task assigned to him. He never
missed a single practice, study hall or team meeting.”
